It aims at raising awareness on the right to data protection.

Data Protection Day is now celebrated globally and is called the “Privacy Day” outside Europe.

In 2006, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe decided to launch a Data Protection Day, to be celebrated each year on 28 January.

$338 million amount has been spent on the construction on this project.

The Ijmuiden lock was designed to allow large, modern cargo ships to reach the port of Amsterdam.

NHEV (National Highway for Electric Vehicle) has inaugurated India’s largest electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Gurgaon, Haryana.

This charging station has been installed and operated byAlektrify.

This smart EV charging station gets 100 charging points for four-wheelers, out of which 72 units are AC slow chargers while 24 units consist of DC fast chargers.

It is situated in Sector 52 of Gurgaon.

Prior to this, the country’s largest EV charging station was located in Navi Mumbai that houses 16 AC and 4 DC chargers.

India’s first innovation centre for graphene will be set up in Kerala by the Digital University Kerala (DUK), along with Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET) in Thrissur, for Rs 86.41 crore.

This will be the first graphene Research and Development (R&D) incubation centre in the country. Tata Steel Limited is set to be the industrial partner of the centre.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, has given approval for the project.

India joins the 2022 Honour Roll of 24 Member States out of 193 that have paid their @UN Regular Budget Assessments in full, India’s Permanent Mission to the UN.

India is currently a non-permanent member of the 15-nation Security Council and its two-year term will end on December 31, 2022.

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) to provide its techno-financial expertise to set-up a rooftop solar power project.
