BCCI signed up as NFT partner for Women’s T20 Challenge:
- The Indian cricket board, which is known for being slow to adopt new protocols, has now chosen to investigate the use of non-fungible tokens (NFT).
- The Cricket Board has named FanCraze as its official partner and accomplice for the Women’s Twenty20 Challenge.
- FanCraze is an organisation in the cricket metaverse.
- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to allow NFT firms as sponsors for a long time, and it also asked that the Indian Premier League (IPL) setups “keep the gap.”
- This occurred at a time when the International Cricket Council (ICC) and its other component organisations were beginning to approach NFT groups about official relationships.
Regarding NFTs:
- NFTs are digital assets linked to a sound bite, photo, or video clip, and their ownership is validated via blockchain technology.
- The area has become a key source of revenue for sporting groups all across the world.
- Cricket Australia has just inked a long-term agreement to distribute NFTs and participate in the advanced collectables market.
- Any earnings generated in this field must be split between the participants and the alliance in accordance with the global standards and rules in this business.

- This also provides NFT with a platform to enter the country’s men’s cricket market, which is as large as any game elsewhere in the world, and this is an opportunity that has been made available to them as a result of this “remark on the sequence of events that follows.”
