World Radio Day is an international day celebrated on 13 February each year. The Day was decided by UNESCO on 3 November 2011 during its 36th conference. The Coal Ministry has successfully auctioned ten Coal Mines of Five States in the latest effort. Combined Coal Reserves are likely to be over one thousand 716 Million Tonnes. Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha launched QR Code based mechanism, which is first of its kind in the country, for certification and labeling of handmade carpets of J&K. The QR-code based label will capture vital parameters of the carpet such as GI user, manufacturer, artisan, knots per square inch, the material used, among others.
